The only way to really know is to try one and see!
Test your Bg before and then at 1 and 2 hours after to see what happens and what the rise (if any) is.

Best test yourself. Before and two hours after eating orange. Generally, eating an orange has less effect on blood glucose than drinling juice. Be sure to wash fingers before pricking, as residual juice would givd a falsely high reading.

Im not too bad with oranges, as long as I don't go too mad with them. Just 1 big orange or 2 satsumas is fine with me and doesn't spike me too much.

Oranges are moderately high carb, but the only way to assess the effect on you is to test.
Here's a chart showing carb levels in a range of fruit and berries.

Great Dave. I eat Blueberries every morning with my All-Bran, I think perhaps I need to switch to raspberries, blackberries or strawberries. extremely useful chart.

We grow stacks of blueberries but I go easy on how many I eat. My favourite way is 3 or 4 with a few raspberries or strawberries in individual sized sugar-free jellies.

If you take glycaemic load (GL) which is based on the theoretical quantity eaten in an average serving into consideration, blueberries have a GL of 5 which is the same as plum and peach, so in a way they are not too bad. Grapes have a GL of 11 and cherries a GL of 9.

That sounds a cool idea Dave.
I only have a few in the mornings but my All-Bran is fairly high carb also.
Thanks for the heads up.
See I learn something every day 🙂
