Opthalmology Appointment

After being told I had developed maculopathy in my left eye I was then told to attend the hospital eye clinic.......

Local anesthetic and dilation drops were administered which was strange for me as I have only had it a few times.....

The consultant at the end then had a look in my eyes with his big fancy machine..........and the result was good, no maculopathy, so worried for nothing........I tried to discuss the result in detail but was rudely told...."all you need to worry about is that there is no maculopathy" as if I was either incompetent or unable to handle the truth............was unhappy about that....

so to conclude, my eyes are not as bad as I expected and the eye consultant is a diddy......

Good news about the eyes! Poor patient communications skills from consultant!

I've met ones like that - just because you don't have his qualifications doesn't mean you are intellectually inferior and incapable of understanding a layman's explanation.

NRB,
drop dickhead consultant a line and explain to him that they are your eyes not his and you would be oblidged if he would give you the common curtesy of answers to your questions. Also point out you were less than impressed by his manner in brushing you off as he did.
