I'm guessing it probably wasn't a good idea to celebrate reducing my fasting blood glucose level by a third in a week by eating a Cadbury Crunchie.

:D:D:D Oh I used to love Crunchies! All that honeycomb goodness - I'd bite the chocolate off first all round, then slurp the middle... mmmmmmm 🙂

I tried making some recently by replacing golden syrup with a sugar free version....ended up a flat, gooey mess. I’m going to keep trying as I miss cinder toffee so much!

Cinder toffee, or whatever you call it locally, is a super delicious treat, but the sticky mess is like nitroglycerin for your teeth: best avoided, like Blackpool Rock.
Oh yikes! I miss it so much Benny- maybe just as well it failed then

Crunchie, maltesers and twirls are the only chocs I miss, not a great sweet eater but oooh could just fancy one now 😛😛

Benny if it ever works I’ll post a picture of my pimped crunchie! But the texture when boiling the syrup didn’t seem right so I’m not hopeful

I so miss cinder toffee. I couldn't get it for ages and now I can't have it they've got it in the Nisa across the road! :(

Whatever you give up is like that, Ditto. You smoke - hardly anyone else does. You pack it in - suddenly shedloads of people are standing outside buildings smoking and you have to walk through clouds of smoke to go in there. Sod's law, is it?
