Hi,
I was due to have the vaccine jab on Monday (2 days ago) but unfortunately I tested positive last Saturday.
I have since contracted pneumonia as well.
I'm a frontline health and social care worker,
8 of my colleagues have tested positive since Saturday too.
The rest of the team have been instructed to isolate
Our workplace is closed for a deepclean and until further notice.
Its not funny but I had to laugh at my bad luck.
Just need a bit of bird flu for the full set.
Will ride out this storm.

Hi Matt, that really is bad luck. Hoping you have a mild dose of both ailments with no bird flu thrown in. Have a speedy recovery and take care of yourself.

I'm fine, under the circumstances.
It could be a lot worse.
Just feel like a pin cushion with all the testing but it will be worth it.

I'm doing fine under the circumstances and will continue to do so.
Work colleagues are generally ok, although some are struggling a bit which is understandable.
I'd have to wait 28 days from my positive test date for the vaccine to be effective.

Two of my colleagues have ended up in hospital
so I do feel fortunate.
I'll give myself plenty of recovery time

Hi,
I'm feeling alot better after a challenging few weeks.
Just feel knackered but I'd rather that than be struggling to breathe like before.
Taste has returned too.
Blood sugars and keytones went through the roof while poorly but getting back to my normal now.
Had my first vaccine 2 weeks ago.
My son told me I'm going to be a grandad.
How cool is that, I'm so chuffed.
