Got my new meter today, thing is the slot for strips are on wrong side for me, so its really difficult well uncomfy, anyways ive wasted about 4 strips seems you have to fill this thing with blood enough so it will activate the 5 second countdown and im obviously not getting enough blood out my finger grr nevermind ill over come it bigger things on my mind right now.

sidenote

Has anyone got this new one touch comfort lancing device? its bloody amazing so much softer then any other plungers ive had..

Dare I suggest you use it upside down, so it's the right way for you, once it's started the countdown you can turn it round to read it.
I'm probably teaching granny to suck eggs, but if you just touch the blood with the strip without touching the finger it seems to fill up a lot better.

Carol uses that ultra easy. I don't have a problem with it, but as Vicsetter suggested, try it whichever way round suits you and then turn it round/over to read the result.

And yes, Carol has that comfort pricker. It's her favourite one. BD make them too. It's the first ever pricker she got from hospital. When I tried the get another one, the DSN said no and they cost ?14 to buy. So when OneTouch brought that in, I immediately got on the phone an asked for one. Actually Carol could do with another one, as she's using the original pricker at school. And I'm using the same one at night - accidentally changing the depth to 4/5 hurting her in the process. That would never have happend with the comfort.

Thank you, sometimes i miss the really obvious solution.

Really not liking this meter now,im trailing it for one touch and they want my feedback in 3 month, I wil be honest with them and not beat around the bush.If any one has this meter dont you find it annoying that when you prick your finger put blood sample on the end of the meter and then if it does not fill the little beige thing you get an error 5,with my freestlye u need a pin prick amount of blood and it tests no problem, so thanks but not thanks one touch 🙄
