Since my Wife has been diagnosed with trying to copy me (now T2 on Metformin and blood pressure pills and threatened with statins) I have decided to be stricter with myself, so cutting out my 'treats' and crisps and adding in lettuce, cucumber and tomato, I cannot believe the change it has made.
In just 1 week I have reduced my Levemir from 90 units to 60 units (very happy about that as 60 is the highest setting you can dial in, so up to now it's been 2 injections). The highest BG reading I have had in the last week is 7.4 and I'm sitting here wondering if I have the nerve to go to bed with a BG of 5.7 or should I have a digestive to keep me going (it used to be a packet of crisps to keep me going).
