so... second massively stubborn hypo today (lasting 1.5hrs) and involving an entire tube of glucotabs etc a phone call to hospital meant that we are now on route to check baby is ok.

Everything crossed please - I’m not done baking yet.

(((((hugs))))
Keeping everything crossed for you and baby xx

So far so good. Baby doing fine - my blood sugars are now through the roof (post hypo spike to be expected) but I have ketones so they are monitoring for a while longer but hopefully will be able to go home soon x

Thank goodness for that grainger ~ I've been sitting here thinking of you & babe ~ so pleased that he's fine 🙂 Hope its not too long before your bg & keyones settle down so you can go home to your own bed and sleeeeeep ~ I guess you must be shattered by now. Thanks for staying in touch with updates hun. Take care xxx

Hope all ok and you get home soon.x

Thanks 🙂

No going home tonight I’ve been told - will be seeing diabetes team and having another scan in morning but they are just being ultra cautious they think / we feel. Was worded “we recommend you stay” - which ultimately means I can’t leave and not punish myself if anything happened.

If all good then we get to go home tomorrow, otherwise baby may be arriving earlier than expected.

My best wishes to you grainger. Hope everything goes well for you and little one.

Thanks 🙂

Well, better safe than sorry hun ~ you're in the right place to be cared for through this anxious & worrying time. Hope you've managed to get some sleep and hope too that your scan goes well tomorrow so that you can go home.
{{{{{{More big hugs for youself and your babe}}}}}} lots of love xxx

Thanks all.

Levels are good. I’m at 5.0 now so my correction was spot on which is a first! Bit fed up as turns out they were worried I might have / develop dka - when I knew my sugars were coming down and had told them this. Hey ho, should get to see my baby sometime this morning.

Had approx 1hr sleep - this is new baby preparation I think! Have left hubby to sleep at the min (nurses so lovely they found him a bed!)

Let’s just hope I can go home soon.

Take care, I hope that you are able to get home soon 🙂 Glad to see your levels are back to normal 🙂

Thanks. Me too although it appears I have a battle on my hands... the registrar now thinks I’ve come down too quickly and should eat something. The midwife thinks I should do what I normally do and trusts I know more.
I’ve said I’ll eat breakfast at 7.30 to try and keep registrar happy but I’ll be informing her I’m giving myself insulin for it.
It’s a little like I can’t win. Was chuffed with my 5.0 but now feel like I have to defend it!

Sounds like you're in control grainger, good for you. You tell 'em! I know you's knows best🙂 wow a 5.0 that's great🙂 Enjoy your breakfast ~ I'm just about to cook mine. Hope your scan goes well this morning, thinking of you, take care xx

I hope you do get home soon and thinking of you. Sleep would be a good idea. Thank god for your midwife, she has sense. If they do induce you, hope it all goes well, will be extra thinking of you! Hugs.

Thanks. Back to monitoring again at the min, they want more samples of everything (why I’m not sure). Baby heart rate going to be monitored again in a min but otherwise the midwives are hoping I’ll get to go home soon 🙂

What a night you’ve had, Grainger. So relieved to hear you and baby are ok and hopefully going home soon. What ward is hubby on? Best make sure he doesn’t end up receiving any ‘treatment’ LOL.🙂
