Just thought I would check again, expecting it to have gone too high and it has now fallen back to 4.6 and I'm feeling very nauseous. Haven't had any humalog since 11am and normally my BGs are relatively steady in the afternoons

Goodness Amanda, I hope you stabilise soon, that Diabetes Fairy is taking things a bit too far :(

Stupid stupid stupid diabetes fairy! This is just plain weird - I'm doing all of my tests on my meter just to be on the safe side - and it is now 13.5 (I didn't have anything to eat/drink after it went down to 4.6).

Very strange, let's hope it is one of those 'once in a blue moon' experiences. I've had 3 since I was diagnosed where normal logic seemed to go completely out of the window.

Thanks Northener - I've got a horrible feeling that it is going to go up further but with it being so strange today I'm reluctant to correct.
I wonder if it is a delayed response to Monday's flu jab which is still making my arm sore

Sorry for the rant but I can't believe that it has now gone up to 18.9 and I feel so Yucky. Feeling very sorry for myself

I'm not surprised, you certainly don't need to apologise :( Hopefully the food/lucozade will be fully digested soon and stop raising your levels. Might be worth considering a correction given the upward trend?

Thanks Alan. You're right about the correction.......I'm just waiting at the moment to see if it goes much higher so that I can try to get the correction right without a hypo.

I had a 2 unit humalog correction yesterday at 4pm when it was 11. Didn't have any humalog with my dinner or afterwards and then had two hypos during the night which I treated with Lucozade. It's all very, very strange especially as I reduced my levemir by 6 units on Monday and all subsequent days

Crumbs! Much more of this sort of behaviour and you'll be off insulin entirely! 😱
