Not a happy bunny.

I’m wondering if it’s a timing issue again.

My thinking would be dose-timing, carb load or a combination of the two.

If this is a regular breakfast which usually works OK, and you are using 'tried and tested' strategies, then it might be a slight change in insulin need and your basal might need a tweak.

All that is from a T1 perspective of course.

Fantastic flat-line overnight though! Mine was more like the Alps last night. 16.x down to the 2s, glugged Lucozade and woke to 7ish o_O

What did you have for breakfast?

I've had the same breakfast two days in a row. Yesterday I went from 5.9 to 8.6, today from 6.1 to 5.7. I have no idea why.

Oh dear, @Ljc - I hope it doesn't mean you're sickening for something, or anything like that. Like Mike, I only know what I'd do from a type 1 perspective - and in fact what I do do from a type 1 perspective, as I always spike after breakfast, though injecting earlier helps and so (for me, I wouldn't suggest it for anyone without ME!) does a rest immediately after breakfast.
Does the weather effect your readings?

Thanks @everydayupsanddowns , @Beck S and @TheClockworkDodo
Juliet, I do hope that I’m not coming down with something.
The world and it’s wife affects my levels 🙄:D

They’ve been a bit higher than I like since the cold weather started , so I may need to do a tweak. It’s been ages since I’ve seen such a sharp swift rise on my graph after eating, it gave me such a shock !

It was my usual brekkie 2 slices of wholemeal bread one had a little peanut butter on and a large coffee with sweetener and milk, I injected then waited my usual 40 mins I need for brekkie, after 2hrs my levels came down sharply, so I’m hoping it’s just a timing Issue.

I’ll be replicating things exactly this morning.

@Beck S , I think it does it just to spite us lol

Gliclazide makes us produce more insulin, but not in a controlled way, so your pancreas may well have put out a surge , I had the same things happen when I was on them.

That's true, I didn't think of that. Bodies are such weird things when you think about it. No wonder they do odd things now and again.
