Bear in mind all nuts are not equal. For example cashews are higher in carbs than almonds.
That doesn't mean cashews are off the menu. Just worth checking how they affect your BG and maybe eating smaller portions.
Or maybe trying something like smoked almonds?
I've tried smoked almonds and they are seriously good.

It always surprises me how much salt is in ‘dry roasted’ nuts. I love ‘em, but they are often saltier than salted nuts. Which seems… um… nuts!
I agree. When I get some time I'm going to try making some of my own. This recipe looks promising and claims to wind up with 2.5g of salt for 500g of nuts.

I find often that I want something in my car, not because I need it, but for some reason after shopping I get in my car and want to eat, which us dangerous. If I go to Morrisons I often buy chicken pieces or large Cumberland sausages to eat on my seven mile drive back home. I don't what it is about driving back home but I have to nibble.

wow you are very low HbA1c .
If you are referring to @Annette&Bert's HbA1c results of 8, those are in the old unit of measure ie % as oppose to mmols/mol that we use now.
8% equates to 64mmols/mol

I was not going to aim that low. However thanks for letting me know.
