Had my follow up to my latest blood tests and all OK.
Happy that average still in 6's (6.7) following my virus and infection over December & part of January. Thought don't need any change to meds as it will reduce now I'm back at the gym properly.
It was interesting as I asked if in future I go down with a cold/virus is it possible to temporarily increase my metformin by say a tablet to mitigate any increase, or does it not work that way?
As I'm only on 2 a day I could do this as no where near the max for this tab. I don't need to check with her first if I do this as "I'm motivated" & understand how my meds work; I only need to let her know I've taken an extra 1 the next time I see her. Anyone else been given the OK that when unwell you can increase your meds to hopefully mitigate any BS increase?
Apart from that more good news cholesterol still A-OK in fact she showed me a check result I had 20 years ago it was only 5.2 then, so happy with that.
BP was 118/60, she wished all her diabetic patients were as good.
Then went to my dentist for dental check up & she couldn't "find anything to clean off", so gold stars all round.
Aren't I a smarty pants!!
Have a good valentines day; I left hubby card & pressie this morning, but no sign of anything for me. Perhaps a surprise waiting for me when we get home; or of course it could be in the post.
