I'm assuming that this is an A1c test result of 60, this puts you in the diabetic range
All is not lost though, by reducing your carb intake & exercising you an control this
#1 Cut or reduce carb sources such as Bread, rice, pasta, cereals & starchy vegetables like potatoes, instead replacing them with green leafy vegetables grown above ground
# Get a meter & self test.... Members here recommend the SDCodeFree from Amazon as the test strips are quite affordable
Welcome Matt, as Martin said, it’s all about the carbs and testing is how we learn what our bodies do or don’t react to. Keeping a food diary will help you track your progress. Read as much as you can here, all you need to know is in the threads so take your time and remember it’s a marathon not a sprint.
Hi @MATTHEW ANDERSON , welcome to the forum. An Hb1ac result of 60 means you have joined our select club.
Below 42 is non diabetic.
42 to 47 is known as pre diabetes .
48 and above is Diabetes.
I was a lot higher when I was diagnosed.
How did you come to be diagnosed.
It can be very confusing at first as well as a shock. With the right info, a change in diet and if able some form of exersize walking is good , Diabetes can be well managed.
