Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi, just a quickie, started doing my own finger prick tests, I tried it yesterday and got 5.8mmol/l, got 6.3 two hours after having had chicken and veggies. This morning i got 6.1, that was after only having had drinks since my evening meal 14 hours ago. Are these numbers OK, I'm on the fast 800 diet and restricting my eating time but having plenty of fluids. Any thoughts please.
Thanks

Look OK to me. Keep testing and keep on writing the numbers down. After a week or so you will get a much better picture of how your blood glucose varies and the things which make it change. There are no "right" numbers, just your numbers and when you have a good idea of where you are you can make good decisions about what you need to do to change them, if indeed you need to.

Yes those figures are fine. I would be happy with those numbers even now (i.e. having been in remission for over 1yr).
Though it may be harder to maintain those good numbers after you come off the Fast800 unless you switch to low carb at that point.
Controlling diabetes is a marathon, for the vast majority there is no cure so plan on having a new long term lifestyle.
