i was 3.9 after dinner today and was off out with my friend, so me being my normal rebellious teenager self 😉 ate two, two fingered kit kats and had 6 units of novorapid.
so off i went then stopped off at the shop and bought a kinder bueno and a can of diet coke nom nom, so ate that, we were walking around town for an hour or so it wasn't that far.
came home tested thought i was gonna be sky high, but instead was 9.8 :O
after 3 chocolate bars and orange juice, i was 9.8!
i sat there, like whuuut?
gave some insulin anyway, not much just to bring it down a tad cause i know the chocolate will kick in soon :/

I'm surprised you injected 6 units of insulin when you were a 3.9, I probably would have had some lucozade and 1 2-fingered kitkat without giving insulin just to treat the hypo. Mmmm, kinder bueno, I haven't had one of those in a long time, hypos are horrible but sometimes the food we have to eat can be so enjoyable! :D

I thought you were going to say you went hypo again after that 6 units.

You were probably on your way down.

It's great when we can enjoy treats without the consequences. We all need treats, so continue to have them from time to time.

It can be so frustrating 😡

Went to bed last night on anything between 12-17 (3 consecutive tests - think I'd better get the meter checked), had a small (for me!) bolus; woke at 03:30 - 2.2!
3 JB's + 2 plain digestives, 3.2 after 20 mins and this morning ....... bg=10 aaarrrggghhh.

It would be nice if we could tell our liver "don't bother with the glucogen, I've treated the hypo".

I carnt got it right with having something to eat b4 bed last night at 22.00 BGs 6.7 and had 2CPS so had 2 units of Humalog thinking that would be ok.
But gess not as at 2.30 BGs 8.2
And this morning BGs 11.0
If I go to bed with out some thing on a BG6 6.7 then I hypo through night
So I know what you meen.

I didnt know you had to have something, that suggests too much background over night, but if you drop it right down its unlikely to cover you during the day, i would bet all my money on it.......

If you do insist on having something maybe an increase of your ratio before bed, a bit of experimenting....
