Novomix 30 potential dosage error

Hi the DSN at hospital has told me to inject 16 Units on a morning and then 18 Units on the evening.
So in a 24 hour period that's 34 Units.
Has anyone ever accidentally got the dose wrong way round? I think I may have given myself 18 Units before breakfast today but can't be certain.
If you have done similar how did you handle it?
I'm wondering if I should do the usual 18 Units this evening but make sure I have 16 Units in the morning before breakfast.
That should be ok shouldn't it has a one off?
Any input greatly appreciated.

Happy New Year to you all.

Toby

I would do my normal next dose. In the meantime I’d test my blood sugar more regularly.

It's a very long time since I was on Novomix, but I really wouldn't worry at all. If your doses were 6 and 28 it would be much more of a problem, but 16 and 18 are very close. Agree with Lucy, I would test much more today, you might perhaps counter any drop in BG with a biscuit or piece of toast or whatever extra carbs you would enjoy, but apart from the extra testing to keep an eye on things I would carry on as normal. You may not even notice any difference at all in your readings!

How did things go @Toby.SYSLC ?

The two doses are fairly similar, so hopefully you won’t have had too difficult a time over the past 24 hours. Let us know how you got on?

Delayed response sorry , I had no real issues as my BM readings had been the same as they had been the previous 2 days. Anyway I have since had a review with the DSN who has put me on the 18 Units both Morning and evening and I'm still getting mostly double figures .
Next review due 27th Jan
