The uncle of an "inspiring" ten-year-old with type one diabetes is running a marathon to help the charity that has supported his niece.
Ian Clayton, of Wollaton, who turned 40 in December, is taking on the 26.2-mile run in London this April for Diabetes UK.
His niece, Amber Clayton, was chosen to present a posy to the Queen for her own fundraising efforts – which go to help other diabetes patients.
She made and sold hundreds of badges in aid of the charity and held a fashion show at her school.
