Do not cook with Linseed, especially ground Linseed.
I just cooked some Buckwheat for tea, which I normally do on its own first, then combine it with other stuff. This time, stupid me thought I will save a pan and cook it together with whole and ground Linseed. I got a scum/ layer of slime on the top of the pan, the consistency of snot! 😱
I assume it is from the Linseed, but no one told me to not cook with it. I have had to get rid of the first batch ( It looked very unappetising... ) and have just done another without the ground Linseed, still got some slime though. I will add the whole to some onion; mushroom; roasted pumpkin and spice in a little while.
