To my eye test this morning . I had my first about 6 months ago and they recalled me as there is some background retinopathy . The test , although uncomfortable with the drops , is not that bad but I am worried about the result :(

Good luck Ann. Hope all is OK for you. Katiexxx

Good luck xx🙂 Amanda

Just wanted to say I'm thinking about you this morning and hope the results are better than you are fearing. All good wishes,

I hope that everything goes smoothly for you. Please don't be worried about background retinopathy - I've had it for over 20 years and in that time it has continued to be background and not required any treatment

I have background retinopathy -- as long as it doesn't develop into full-blown retinopathy it's nothing to worry about. 🙂

Good luck for today!

Don't worry too much, Carol has background retinopathy. Her next appointment is still in a year's time after the last one.

I'm sure all will be well Ann. Your control will have been better over this past 6 months than the previous couple of years, so all should be well.🙂

Rob

Thanks everyone 🙂

I was told that I only had a very small spot last time and that it will probably have gone away.... We'll see . The test is nothing really so that was ok, just got to sit and wait for the results .

The thought of laser treatment really frightens me :(

Hi Ann

Hopefully you won't need laser treatment - but if you do if you've had some basic painkillers before (e.g. paracetamol) it shouldn't hurt at all. I had some laser for maculopathy three months ago - there was no pain at all - and I'm an absolute wimp. As soon as the laser was finished I went straight to a boat show with my OH because I felt so well

Hello

Ann good luck.... my last test showed background retinopathy...but was told not to worry!!! My next test is in December so we shall see what the results will be next time.🙂

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Ann 🙂

Thanks, you are all so lovely. It's so good to talk to someone who understands the process and the worries... Thanks 🙂
