Hi. I havent posted on here for a while but need a couple of pointers please. I have had 4 episodes of night sweats in past fortnight yet had flu jab in September for overweight reasons. No other signs of being poorly in daytimes. Have cut back lits on choccies and things but made an apple/cranberry pie last week, for eg, and had delirious night sweats and last night ate 10-15 sweets about 9 went to bed 11 then woke up delurious agitated and sweaty. Got a pre booked appt with diabetic nurse January next year. Hoping to bring forward....ideas would be good.

N.B. changed to sweetener today last reading low 5s now getting tired and headache ug

Have you measured your levels when you have woken up with the sweats Pamela? These can occur when levels are very high or too low, so it's hard to determine which is which sometimes. Although those things you mention would cretainly push your levels high. It may be reactive hypoglycaemia - a big spike followed by a rapid drop. January is a long time to wait, I would suggest booking an appointment with your GP incase it's all due to something unrelated.

Hi thankd for reply. I seem to be unable to think clearly at the time yet will try to set my alarm for mid sleep and check them then but I think the reactive hypo seems quite on the dot. Need gp appt I think
