I have had gastroparesis for 3 years usually cope very well but over the last week things have become worse. They have been unable to control my sickness or nausea, even tried acupuncture and self injecting Metoclramide. Last week increase levels of ketones luckily not acidotic spent 1 night in hospital [Friday] being re hydrated, I am now not tolerating any food and very limited fluids. A few weeks ago had botox injection [ unsuccessful ] I know the plan is gastric pacing next but just at the moment it all seems too much. Does any one have any advice or have gone through gastric pacing?
Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about this - it sounds really challenging and stressful. A few members have gastroparesis and they will hopefully see this post and chip in with something to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that the gastroparesis has got this bad. It must be very scary. is there any chance that it is a flare up that could calm down? What medications are you on for the gastroparesis?

How are you feeling now? I hope that there has been some improvement
