So I'm waiting to my blood test Monday, still feeling really up and down health wise which I feel is directly linked to food.

I have managed to get hold of a glucose monitor, mmol/l 90 minutes after eating a meal of lasagne was 4.1

This is a normal result as far as I can tell? Or is it low considering I'd eaten?

It's a great result, especially after a lasagne and would indicate no diabetes. In the morning, do a test as soon as you wake up and let us know what that is, and then 2 hours after breakfast.
All the best 🙂

I agree, very confusing, do do the tests in the morning, will build up more of a picture.

A bit lower - Diabetes UK site says 3.5-5.5, and I think the range given on my test results was 3.9-5.3. And two hours after meals below 8.

My aim was said to be between 4-7 for normal range.

Agree with @stephknits ...do a waking test...see how you're starting your day...then that will give a starting point for the rest of the days testing...before meals...then two hours after...not clear from your signature...are you type 1or 2?...or should that be obvious from your post...bear with me...it's been along day already for me...and it's not quite 7am yet!😱😱😱.

Hi Sammi...I never usually give advice on type 1...I have no experience...however I believe the figures for type 1 & type 2 are slightly different...hope that's right...if not...apologies in advance...for me it's not clear from @mummylouise's post if she is type 1or 2...so that may explain the different figures.

Oh ok. Does it differ that much between type 1 and 2? My current bm ranges between 15-32 so i was told between 4 - 7. Im currently being treated as type 1.

The figures I gave are normal waking range for people who are not diabetic - because Mummylouise doesn't know yet whether it's diabetes causing her symptoms or not. Just to be clear, they are not figures people with diabetes should be aiming for!

If you are type 1 you are supposed to aim to be 5-7 before breakfast (because you don't want to risk going too low overnight, so you don't want to be as low as a non-diabetic), 4-7 before other meals, and 5-9 two hours after meals.

The aims for type 2 are indeed slightly different, so it's all very confusing. There's a page here which explains it though: https://www.diabetes.org.uk/Guide-to-diabetes/Managing-your-diabetes/Testing/
