I cannot believe that my daughter's friend has just been diagnosed with diabetes, aged 21, at Chelsea Art College, how much do you not want this for anyone...

Anyone recommend a clinic to attend in London?

Feel completely shattered

please make sure she joins this site, and to join Circle D on facebook. They are a diabetes group for 18 - 30 year olds...lots of people the same age to talk to and meet up with, and just like this site, an amazing source of support.

If she wants anyone to talk to, please feel free to point her in my direction.

Anyone recommend a clinic to attend in London? Not sure how well she's going to deal with this, she needs education NOT medical treatment, as she has some mental health problems (not sure I should say this as I will certainly recommend her using this forum)

I'm sure one of the London people can recommend a good clinic, I'll ask on FB. Very sorry to hear about her diagnosis :(

FB: Kings gets good recommendations, but avoid UCLH Adults, Whittington is also supposed to be good. Chelsea & Westminster is okay too.

Thank you so much everyone for your efforts and support, I so appreciate this forum. I hope she will join when she's ready, and will certainly recommend it to her, and pass on everything you've said here. thank you, thank you.

Encourage your daughters friend to join here, if necessary your post can be edited so no need to worry there.

Although I am in London, I don't know much about clinics as my diabetes care is with Doctor Twit. Someone is sure to be along some time with suggestions.

I hope the younfg lady gets all the help and support she needs.
