Interesting!

A way of halting post-transplant attack on the new cells has been keenly sought for decades now. I saw a presentation about ‘nano encapsulation’ many years ago.

Will be interesting to see if the mice models make any further progress.

The encapsulation seems to have stalled a bit, which is disappointing, but these ‘ninja’ cells give another option and it seems a clever thing to do. It’s a kind of obvious cure - give the beta cells a cloak of invisibility (yes, I’m going all Harry Potter :D ) Fingers crossed it progresses.
