They mentioned this at my clinic appointment on tuesday & they will be starting trials with pregnant type 1's very soon, i'll let you know if i'm invited to participate in the trial. They have published a more detailed article in the "lancet" sorry i haven't got the link.

You Jammy jammy jammy thing! 🙂 I couldn't even get a pump out of my hospital - I was due to start on one the day after I realised I was pregnant - but they refused to let me have it when I said I was pregnant on the grounds that "if we put you on a pump and the pregnancy goes wrong you might sue us"!!! 😱 (Translation - we're haven't made the effort to put a pregnant woman on a pump before despite the fact that umpteen hospitals do this successfully all the time & we can't be bothered to make the effort now 😡). Grrr. Never felt inclined to sue before....

All I can say re the artificial pancreas is - Bring It On!!! Yippeeee!
