Hi, I was diagnosed with type 2 yesterday 😳 and started meds today 😱. all a bit overwhelming really. It appears that having covid in january has had something to do with my sugars spiking quite high. my white blood cells are very low and there's some other stuff 'not working properly' because of my inability to fight infection at the moment. Dr isn't even sure if the meds will help reduce my sugar levels because the white cells need to play their part. Is there anyone on here had type 2 triggered or accelerated by covid? I'm hoping i can reverse this (not even sure if that's possible?) I don't think i will need to make too many changes to my diet, my exercise is controlled by long covid at the moment but i manage to walk on the days i'm not working. Fatigue is an major issue for me but i have blood tests in 3 weeks time and i'm determined to meet this head on by informing myself as much as i can 🙂
