Hi everyone, glad that I’ve found this forum.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 last week after a few weeks of symptoms.
Felt pretty worried/overwhelmed about the whole situation. I became a dad last year so need to be okay for my daughter, and although I was a bit heavy, I didn’t think I’d develop diabetes in my 30’s!
Diabetic nurse wasn’t too reassuring on our phone consultation, she said she’s never seen anybody put their type 2 in remission with readings as high as mine (114 mol/mol or 12.6%) Then proceeded to tell me I should be on 4 tablets a day instead of starting on 1 as per the Doctors prescription.
Hopefully I can get some inspiration and confidence that I can get off the meds eventually by talking to you guys, and hearing about your experiences!
