Hi and welcome 🙂 It is a lot to take on board at first but it honestly does get easier. There are different approaches to management but most of us here follow a low carb / high (good) fat diet, you will find all you need to know on the pages here so best advice I would give is to make a cuppa, get comfortable and read as much as you can, then when you are ready, ask any questions you have and we will all do our best to guide and support you :D

Hi and welcome to the forum. I agree with the comments above. It is scary and very confusing when you are first diagnosed and you will need to give yourself time to come to terms with your diagnosis and then slowly work out what foods are best for you. We all react differently to foods, for example bread and pasta and pies (naughty me) are really bad for me but I can get away with small amounts of rice or chips. However that is me and no one else and it took a time to work that out. As @CathyB says have a good look around and then ask absolutely anything you want. No question is daft, too big or too small. Welcome to the forum from a fellow T2.
Some do self testing to find out what affect different foods have and any changes they make. Keep a food diary, along with a record of your levels. Hopefully you'll see a pattern and that can be used to to make judgements about what you eat.
