Welcome to the forum @donz32
Good to see your taking positive action
What was your hba1c when you were diagnosed and have you had a follow blood test to confirm diagnoses.

Losing weight can really have a positive effect on your hba1c especially when combined with exercise and a good diet

Alan 😉

Hi and welcome.... good luck with the Pathway program.
I am just about to finish the first 12 week diet (next week!), I seem to have done reasonably well on it, But it really helps if you can stick to it as much as possible, as it has a good initial success rate.
The support is good too (I went the digital route). Even losing a little weight helps.
Let us know how you get on.... 😎

Welcome to the forum, well done so far with the weight loss. as you are new you may not have noticed this link to a low carb approach which many have found successful, there is good explanation and some menu plans and recipes so you can compare to what you are already doing and it may give you some ideas. https://lowcarbfreshwell.com/

Welcome to the forum @donz32

Well done on your weight loss so far!

Hope you manage to navigate through your first Christmas after your diagnosis and manage to balance the careful you are aiming for with a few intentional treats along the way

We’ve quote a few who have had success with the Newcastle 800 aporoach, but also others it hasn’t suited so well, who have found alternative approaches were better for them.

Keep us posted, and have a lovely Christmas!
