Hi All
So glad I found this forum as I'm struggling coming to terms with everything. I was feeling fine until 5 weeks ago. Four days after catching covid I developed a urine infection which then showed my glucose levels were high. My first Hba1c level was 77 and two weeks later it came down to 63. I've been on Metformin for 4 days and each morning my levels have been coming down.
I have my first appointment with the diabetic nurse tomorrow and I'm hoping to get advice on what is best to eat. I'm vegetarian and don't like plant based food but I realise I may have to add them to my diet.
I am overweight and could exercise a lot more so I'm on a mission to increase fitness and lose weight.
I've been experiencing tingling in my legs for the last week and now I'm worried that it's nerve damage etc! I suffer with anxiety so that's prob not helping either.
Sorry for the long post. I always had a feeling that I might get it one day but not this early (I'm 41)
Jen
