Relationship to Diabetes

Hi,
I have been reading this board since it started but have today decided to join in. I live in France but I am British. I belong to other boards and probably have learnt most of my diabetes control from them, but it is nice to talk to other people from the UK . I like it that this board seems to have attracted people with a variety of lifestyles and experiences.
I have had diabetes (LADA) for 5 years and now use an insulin pump. (I'm lucky, I would never have got one in the UK.) I am 56 and when I was diagnose I was shocked but determined not to let it stop me doing anything.

Hi and welcome helen 🙂

these boards are invaluable with some great advice on here and also lots of sympathetic ears to listen to your rants too lol.

Hi Helen and welcome. Whereabouts in SW France are you? Its a region I adore....

thankyou for your welcome,
Corrine, I live near Villefranche de Rouergue in the Aveyron.
