Hi and welcome Shell

Have you been diagnosed long?
Is there anything particular which has brought you to the site? ie. Any particular problems you are experiencing at the moment or just wanting to compare notes and swap thoughts with others facing the same challenges with diabetes.
Whatever the reason, I am delighted that you found us as I know what a massive role in improving my diabetes management and general wellbeing, the forum and it's wonderful members have been.

Please ask if there is anything you want to know or need help with. The forum is a goldmine of experience and practical knowledge as well as being very supportive in those times when things get tough and you are struggling mentally.

Would you like to tell us a bit about your diabetes... How and when you came to be diagnosed, how you manage it ie which insulin(s) you use MDI or a pump, or maybe even mixed insulin. If you have Freestyle Libre sensors or any other tech to help you manage your levels....

Other than that, if you fancy getting to know us a little better there is a thread in the general section titled "Group 7-day waking average" where some of us post each day with our waking reading (we don't bother with the "averages" part anymore.... and exchange a bit of news or banter or have a moan about our unpredictable levels or celebrate our successes. It's a friendly thread, a bit like a virtual coffee morning. I will post the link below, if you fancy joining us....
All you need to do is post your waking reading and anything else you want to share with the group. If you read the most recent few pages, you will get an idea of what it is all about.... Maybe see you there soon and look forward to getting to know you better....

Hi Shell, a very warm welcome to the forum!

We're glad to have you with us and as our members are very supportive and knowledgeable in this community, please don't hesitate to talk about your diabetes in this thread and ask any questions you might have.

And, if you'd like to have a one-to-one chat with one of our Diabetes UK advisors about your diabetes, please give our Helpline a call on 0345 123 2399 Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm, or send us an email at helpline@diabetes.org.uk - we'd be happy to help in any way we can.

Once again, welcome aboard! 🙂
