Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi everyone,

Just found out yesterday that I’m type 2. Hoping I start to feel more normal soon after feeling terrible for so long. Thought it was all hormonal and wasn’t expecting it to be diabetes. I bought a blood glucose monitor. How often should I be using that?

Thanks

Rachael

Hello Rachel
At first, if you test just before eating, and then two hours later you can see what you can and can't eat and make adjustments accordingly. We are all different and foods affect us differently.
An ordinary type two can usually see what to cut back on and replace those foods with protein and fat (yes, honestly) and as things become clearer less testing needs to be done.
