Hi and welcome to the forum @sandygirl.

You're not alone with diabetes burnout, I think many of us have experienced this at least once at some point. It's definitely not easy to go through, but well done for reaching out to your GP and getting treatment. Do you also see a diabetes consultant at the hospital?

What kind of things do you feel you need help with? Please feel free to ask any questions around the forum, people here are very friendly and always willing to help. 🙂

I feel I need help with just trying to manage depression I have been fine while on the antidepressants and now starting to feel depressed again which I don't need I feel so low and sick of it all

I'm sorry you're finding it hard at the moment. Have you spoken with your GP recently and let them know how you're feeling?

If you haven't done so already, you can also self-refer to your local NHS IAPT (psychology therapy) service. They might be able to offer you a CBT course and/or talking therapy. I have found this service helpful myself when I went through diabetes burnout and depression.

Here's the NHS page that has information about psychology/talking therapies and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). You can find your local service on that NHS page or Google your location + IAPT. On their website they would have a form you can fill out to refer yourself. All confidential of course.

It's a free service as it's part of the NHS.

Welcome to the forum @sandygirl

Sorry to hear you have been having a tough time with your diabetes. It can be so difficult can’t it, and when your mental health is struggling, it can be tricky to have the capacity that T1 can demand at times. And erratic or elevated BG levels can trigger frustration and low mood in themselves - so it can be a vicious cycle!

Feel free to share your triumphs, disasters, worries and rage here. We completely understand, and want to be with you as you work through this tricky period.

Things will get better.

Welcome to the forum @sandygirl from another person wh9 experienced burnout and depression.

It took me a long while to ask for the help that I needed as I thought I should be able to cope with this.
I had help from a counsellor and logged my journey on here. there may be some bits in there that are of help to you too.

I also found simply being o; this forum a tremendous support, as people recognised the feelings that I experienced.

Thank you for your help will have a look your so kind to help me even though I don't know you very much welcomed thank you
