Hi all I have been type 1 for some 40years I used long and short acting with pens freestyle Libre 2. I am British but work and live part time in Europe.

Morning. Welcome along.
It must be equally interesting and challenging living between two places. How are you finding the Libre?...I definitely found it a game changer...can’t quite imagine not having it now.🙂

Hello well freestyle 1 was good but I use a blue tooth sender which I still use with freestyle 2 as it gives real time figures which alone freestyle 2 doesn’t. I also has errors with it rescan in 10min which I have seen in the people post. I do a lot of exercise eat well and have a child. Thank you for the welcome.

Hi @Tonygro and welcome, glad you’ve joined us 🙂

I hope things have gone as well as possible for you over the past 40 years.

I use cgm with my pump but had a Libre 2 trial a few weeks back and found it a great bit of kit. I liked having an instant update to time in range & predicted HbA1c - I did get a few rescan messages but I’m missing using it.

Ooh you’re getting a bit techy for me now 🙂

I’ve read others having issues with the “rescan in 10 mins” and until the last couple of days I hadn’t had this. I think I accept that both Libre 1 and 2 have their own foibles, but I can certainly work with this knowing what they are...still a great improvement on what we used to have to do years ago aren't they? I find them especially helpful with regard to exercise...takes a lot of the guessing out of the game.
