Diagnosed DT2 in 2017/18, on metformin. But most of the time, everything is ok. But blood tests over the last 18 months have shown my B12 is over 2000 each time. Has this happened to others, as everything I’ve read states normally you get B12 deficiency whilst on metformin. TIA

Hi @Meean and welcome to the forum!
You're right in saying that we more often see deficiencies in B12, rather than higher levels to the norm. Are any of the other results above/below the norm? Have you noticed any changes to your wellbeing in the past 18 months that you've mentioned? And have you spoken to your GP about these results at all?

Iron levels low this year, now on iron and folate was low last year! Everything else seems to be ok have spoken to drs, at first dismissive, though one dr has been trying to find more information, but not heard anything back for over 6 months

Has you GP suggested any further test / investigations to follow up on the higher than normal level of B12. There are usually recommended pathways for that. They would usually rule out the reason being from taking high dose multivitamin or supplements.
This may help but don't get alarmed by some of the causes, hopefully it can be used to rule out anything sinister.

Have had liver, kidneys etc all tested, they did find I had a fibroid on my uterus, but wasn’t a cause for concern as they believe it will shrink, supposedly being reviewed after 12 months.

Good that it’s being looked into @Meean - and encouraging perhaps that the medics are pretty relaxed about it, and are happy to see how things play out at the next check.
