Hi my name is Julie I have type 2 diabetes but take insulin I have been on mounjaro for 2 months it is curbing my appetite a bit. The one question I have is do people taking mounjaro get the full dose on the last week? For some reason I'm not and my brother is also on it and he's the same xx
 
@JULIE D welcome to the forum not on mounjaro myself but just wanted to welcome you to forum. Theyare a great bunch of people on here full of support and ideas. No question to small or to silly. Feel free to browse lurk or wot ever.

Hi Julie. I have just completed my first four weeks on Mounjaro, and like you thought I must have missed a dose as there seemed to be a dose left in the pen after I had my last injection. Diabetic nurse was as surprised as I was! Concluded that if I had followed all the instructions correctly (and I did pay attention to that) then I must have had the full doses. A bit confusing though.

I asked about at the pharmacy all she could offer is that I go in there and show her how I'm doing it and she can tell me if I'm doing anything wrong so that's next Tuesday so I'll have to see what happens xx
 
Hi @JULIE D welcome to the forum, my experience is that the pen once you have delivered the 4 doses there is very small amount left (I’ve kind of assumed that’s because some people might want to dial up a short air-shot prior to administering the actual injection) but Ive always got the full 4 doses from each pen

How are you finding the Mounjaro? Are you seeing BG changes as well as a curbed appetite?

Are you running out of Mounjaro at the end and it’s not got enough for the final dose?

I'm doing okay side affect wise my bloods are better sometimes than others I have noticed there is not enough for the final injection and my brother is on it too and he has said the same we were both taking 5 this next one I will be taking (next Tuesday) will be 7.5 I'll have to see if this is the same. The first one was a really low dose and I did not notice anything with that one x
