Welcome @emanon 🙂 Do you know what your HbA1C was at diagnosis? Have you been given any medication for the diabetes?

Welcome to the forum @emanon

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis :(

Has this come on suddenly, or have things been building up for some time? We have some members who feel pretty grim and go to the GP to try to work out what‘s up, while for others diagnosis competely out of the blue with no family history.

Diabetes is serious, but it is also a condition that can usually be managed well with a few changes and adaptations to your menu and lifestyle. It shouldn’t stop you doing things you enjoy, and it’s something you should be able to learn to live well with.

Fire away with any questions you have - nothing will be considered ‘too obvious’ or silly 🙂
