Hi Karen

How are you getting on with your pump. Good to hear that you have the Libre.
Have you thought of teaming up your pump with a sensor in a closed loop, such as the 780. I know that it is not a cure but it certainly leaves me a lot more time to think about other things, now that my pump has taken on quite a bit of my work.

Good to have your experience on here, and I look forward to reading your contributions.
Hi my pump and myself have become good friends over the years I must admit, but just sometimes I would like to be back injecting, only because I get a lot of questions about my pump especially the ones that says I like the look of you pager - so funny!!!!

O wow, the amount of brain space we’ll have back we’ll be “Lucy” or Bradley cooper in “limitless”. If the brain is a muscle ours should be well toned and strong!
definitely our brains would beat Arnie Schwarzer that for sure 🙂

it is surprising what comments you get. I only worry that people will think that I am getting out a phone at inappropriate moments on the occasions when I have to get it out. Most recent was in response to alarms during a concert I was singing in !! She was on vibrate but getting very insistent.

With the closed loop so much of the thinking I did before has been taken on by the pump, so I don’t mind (too much) when she interrupts and wants a bit of attention. She works quite hard and if she gets uncertain about the information that she is picking up from my sensor she asks for a bit of intervention. I did have a run of sensors that only lasted about three days. They were all replaced and now things have settled again.

I did have to go back to injections when I swam with it in, not realising that it had a crack in it, so basically I broke it, which was unfortunate as I was on holiday and off grid staying with a friend. All sorted very quickly on my return.
