Relationship to Diabetes

Hello, my name is Kartal, and I provide care for my mother who has type two diabetes, amongst other ailments such as stenosis of the spine. Unfortunately her health has been affected by the stenosis, and her attempts to manage her diabetes is taking a turn for the worse.

I joined this forum group as I have questions relating to diabetes, hopefully there will be people on here with similar experiences that can help.

So sorry to hear about your mum's health challenges. It's great that you're here as getting some support for mum and yourself can be helpful.

I'm not sure if @SB2015 has insights on managing both conditions but do let us know if you have any questions or just to vent and we'll do our best to help.
 
Hi @Kartal27 Sorry to hear that your Mum is struggling.

I did have a spinal stenosis which was treated with surgery. Managing pain does have an impact on glucose levels and needs to be taken into account in making adjustments. It can also limit the activity levels.

How does your Mum manage her diabetes at present?
If we know a little more this can help us in our responses to any questions that you have.
