Newbie with a dodgy pancreas

Although the HbA1c blood test measures the amount of glucose that has stuck to our red blood cells 'over the last 3 months' - the previous 4 weeks activity of our body - so that's eating sleeping and simply every thing it has done - has approx 65% to 30% influence over the result. The previous 4 weeks has 25ish% effect and the 'first 4 weeks' of the 12 has 5-ish per cent.

Hence had you eaten like a pig or been sickening or already ill or having a lot of stress with anything at all (whether it's work, family, money, even eg a family wedding, or a grandchild or indeed a child of your own being born or poorly) during the 4-ish weeks prior to that first test - all and/or any of those things can and could have adversely influenced that result.
Or indeed - sometimes even the best testing labs make mistakes - after all - to err is human!
