Good morning everyone.
I'd been living with pre-diabetes since just before the first lock-down and managed to keep it at bay, due to being a keen walker and after lots of online research, changing to a LCHF diet. Unfortunately, I had some serious injuries last year (torn hamstring and trapped nerve) that meant even taking the dog for a walk, left me almost in tears, due to the pain.. I also caved when badgered by others to not follow my choice of diet. End result, a week after my 60th birthday in November, I was told I now have T2 with a HPLC (?) of 49. Not the worst I know but it's still frustrating..
So my walking shoes are back on and I'm back on LCHF and have lost 1 stone in the past month.
I've found more information on the Diabetes UK website than I'm getting from my Dr's.. Have others had a similar experience?
