Hi
I wanted to ask if anyone else who has had pancreatitis, liver and kidney infections, and gall bladder removed all at the same time, have you then gone on to become pre-diabetic. Also, my appetite is non-existent, I have cereals for bfast, and Ia try and eat a bit of evening dinner, but it's a tiny portion, my friends 1 yr old, eats more than I do. I am slowly losing weight, which is a good thing. But not being able to eat, makes it difficult to get all the nutrients I'm sure. my blood is ok. My cholesterol has gone into abnormal and I'm now on statins.
Has anyone else had a similar thing happen to them? I'm now pre-diabetic, but i wonder could it really be type 3c diabetes because of my issues 14 months ago. I have cut sugar out of my diet and replaced it with sukrin gold. Im still trying to drink more than 2 or 3 litres of fluids a day. I hardly eat bread. I live on cereals and low sugar fruit. I'm quite worried about pre-diabetes, cos apart from losing weight, I can't see what else I can do. Due to other illnesses and severe back issues, exercise and walking are not possible. But i keep active as much as they allow.
