Type 1.5 LADA
I am a type 1 LADA on an insulin pump and have recently commenced a low carb diet. My readings in the morning used to be low but are now high. Tried adjusting bolus but to no avail. Done no carb breakfast so pretty sure basal is correct.
Anyone experienced this?

Welcome to the forum from another late starter. I was 53 at diagnosis.

If your readings are high in the morning it is likely to be your basal rate insulin that needs reviewing. Have you done a basal rate test? It is surprising how often this needs to be changed. Has your DSN worked through this with you? There is a pin at the top of the pumping thread about basal rate testing.

If you don’t want to go in and change each hour initially you could ‘interview a change’ using a TBR alongside regular testing through the night to see the impact. If in any doubt at all talk to your DSN about this.

I hope that you can get things settled.

Thank you for your advice.
I have adjusted basal slightly and there was an improvement.
If this continues or my readings don't respond I will contact DSN.
Thank you for your support.

I hope things have continued to settle.
There are so many things to juggle, but it is worth it.

Thank you they have. I have done carb free meals to test my basal rate before and thought it was right but it turns out the previous bolus was interfering with results.
Hopefully all the adjustments I've made will continue to work.

How are things now @SandieD

Any more clues or moments of inspiration?

Much better thank you. I ws ill for about a day which proved to be a blessing in disguise.
Previous no carb meals to correct basal were influenced by bolus taken for earlier meals.
Basal was way out through out day some a lot of adjustment.
No cravings and have a lot more energy. Now a low carb convert.
