New Years Eve 2024 !!!

Star Wars (viewing, not running) marathon with the kids 🙂
Don’t forget to throw “Rogue one” in there. Few of the usual party games tonight after copious amounts of alcohol. “Hunt the pen.” “Prank dose dialling.” “Blindfold bolus,” “pin the basal on the diabetic.” “Has my phone clock struck 12, or is that my BG levels?” 😉. Happy new year!

Probably stay up, even if we went to bed the fireworks would set the dogs off.
Did get invited to a party, but again, the dogs would go ape when the fireworks start, so had to decline.

As for the evening meal, we are starting with prawn, crab and lobster cocktail, followed by a lamb tagine, with copious amounts of red wine.
The dogs will have similar, except for the red stuff
Meal sounds perfect!

Happy New Year to you all 2025.
We stay in and never seen it in since being married, we used to as kids :rofl:

staying in hate new year TV so will look for something else to watch, daughter and her boyfriend will most likely retire to there room as both been at work since 6.30am once dinner is over, were having chicken and bacon salad baguettes and there desserts for afters who ever want some. hubby and I will go to bed around ten and have a drink and a few chocolates like we always do and watch TV won't be sleeping until after the dreaded fire works which usually die down at 1pm happy new year everyone

Decided on my evening

Homemade chicken n veg curry is bubbling away for tea

Treating myself to crackers and cheese for supper when the last leg is on the telly......got a little bottle of fizzy stuff to have with it (wine glass is taller than the bottle, its that small)

If im still awake at midnight i will tell 2024 to feck off with a wee dram

In bed by 12:05

Making homemade chicken curry with few snacks, will also have few glasses of red to see new year in whilst catching up with some tv dramas. Life in the fast lane.

Probably stay up, even if we went to bed the fireworks would set the dogs off.

Can you send me whatever scraps of seafood the dogs don't eat?

Your dogs sure know how to live, I expect they prefer white. We have a bottle of Bacchus that we were given about 4 years ago and we keep forgetting it's in the back of the fridge, we've decided it's time has come.

I will no doubt be woken up by inconsiderates letting off fireworks.
Same here, hubby is glad that his boss asked him to work on Monday which should have been his day off and gave him New Years day off, which means he will not be having to get up at 4am tomorrow and at least he will not be too tired for the family gathering in the afternoon. But no plans for this evening, really not that bothered by it.

Beer, bottle of Port, and rubbish telly, with a nice single malt before bed (not much after midnight) - much cheaper than going out these days!
I used to like port! When I was a student (137 years ago) I drank Guinness - but alcohol (other than an occasional glass of wine) has been off my menu for many years now :-(

Off to bed soon as exhausted after a bad night last night and a lot of waiting around for a 25 minute appointment 15 minutes away that lasted around 5.5 hours. Nothing to celebrate as still where I was a year ago - quite depressing really. Did watch the quizzes and started the Bond film but turned it off (total carp). If you are staying up have a good time....

Don't go out on new years any more, too bloody old, been there, done that, got the t shirt, Lol.
Still trying to lose a few pounds, so earlier had a couple of shakes, then some salmon and veg later and tonight had a bag of popcorn and some nuts and a brew (no alchohol)....living the dream! 😉😎🙂
