What do you all have planned for New Years Eve?
In? Out? Food? Drinks? Early night? Absolutely nothing?

Happy New Year and all the best for 2025!

Absolutely sod all planned 🙂.

My wife is working (nurse) so I'll be at home with the boy. My friends are going to Birmingham to stay with friends so we're going to have their dogs for the night which will be nice.

Our dogs always stay at their house when we're on holiday so it's nice to be returning the favour.

So me and the boy may get food in and watch some TV. He'll probably be up later than me!!

im going to stay in. retire to my room early and watch tv/listen to radio i may be awake when the New Year comes in i may not I will spend a little time thinking of those who are no longer with us God bless them all, they will always be with me I shall spend some time counting my blessings and good luck
hope you all have a good night
take care

Bugger all.....
Hiding from the world and all the drunken madness........cant wait to get back to normal

We have no plans. We did invite a few people, but everyone already has plans. My favorite place for curry in Manchester, Bundobust do have an event, and I would love to go, but no children (She's 13) and no childcare, so that's that out the window. Also I dread to think the price of a taxi back 😱
So the pink fizz is in the fridge and we will likely have a mini party us 3, also could be in bed.
It doesn't change anything but is a good maker of good and bad events, and to set some new goals / plans. We had a very mixed 2024 of wonderful and awful, equally high and low things happen, some of our hard earned dreams and plans worked out, but also some battles and loses. So I hope 2025 is a little flatter, just a normal year would be nice.
Happy new year all. Let's kick 2025 up the butt!

Very quiet one for me and mine.
Fiancé finishes work early today luckily so it’ll be food, drinks, Mario Kart with the Daughter, Jools Holland, hoping our Boston handles any fireworks and to bed I think.

Absolutely wild! ;D

A small family gathering at lunchtime. I live in Scotland but I'm a Londoner - and I'm too old for discotheques and staying out late anyway 🙄.

Probably stay up, even if we went to bed the fireworks would set the dogs off.
Did get invited to a party, but again, the dogs would go ape when the fireworks start, so had to decline.

As for the evening meal, we are starting with prawn, crab and lobster cocktail, followed by a lamb tagine, with copious amounts of red wine.
The dogs will have similar, except for the red stuff

Thee kids will do fireworks in garden, some desert, so will be apple strudel and custard and hot chocolate for them, me I willwatch a movie and fall asleep.

Wishing you a very Happy and Prosperous New Year… here’s to good health and world peace!❤️

My cousin lives alone and in the next street so he is coming down. Our friends Sue and Den are coming round as they live near us too. The latter will go before midnight as Den lost his Mom on NYE about 30 odd years ago and does not like celebrating it. Martin, myself and David will see it in.

I am not bothered about going out though. We had a long day yesterday anyway - 6 hour round trip to Stokesley up in the north east visiting friends which was most enjoyable.
