Thank you for allowing me too join I have been scanning various posts and realise the mine field that I have entered at 76 thought I was healthy came as a shock I have already lost over 20lb through watching everything I eat now at 12st 8lb exercise is next on the list.

Welcome to the forum. Well done on that weight loss, I hope that will be reflected in your HbA1C when you next have the test. Exercise will help but diet is the main thing. Do you know what your HbA1C was when you got your diagnosis.
Have a look at this link for some ideas for a low carb approach and see how it compares with what you have been doing, it should be suitable if you are just doing diet or diet and metformin (you don't mention if you have been taking that).

Well done on your weight loss! That should really help, especially if you have been losing abdominal fat, including visceral fat around your organs.
