Hi all.
I would like to start by saying I am 63
I have permanent AFIB.( take meds for it)
Also no gallbladder, but don't suffer like some with fat eat as much as I allways.
I have been pre diabetes for last year at 48.
In August my doctor said try and control it.
I was drinking lots of smoothies as he advised me to stay of tea which I drank black no sugar.never used to drink coffee.
He suggested drinking milk all time.
Which I did by Oct my next blood test was 70 and told I had diabetes .
I read that milk was good for type 2 diabetes.
So even though I haven't drunk it for years I started upping drinking about 10 pints a week.
Rest of my diet as been same I do eat more protein then carbs.
I am chef and know about all sugars etc.
I was given staglipin each day.
But went back today and they have not been working and changed to Trajenta and gliclazide.
I did a reading on my finger one and got 17.8 now never had readings this high.
As anyone else had this kind of problem from drinking milk.
I am going to stop milk all together and see what happens even though doctor said it carnt be that that's pushed it up.
But I carnt see anything else that can have done it.
Hope someone on here as some advice for me.
Oh and I have had no other symptoms no thirst or peeing constantly, eyes been checked feet been checked
Many thanks.
