Hi
My name is Brian and at the age of 82 have just been diagnosed as having Type2 diabetes.
Have to see the Doc on the 30thJune to get the Script for the Pills - No liquid insulin at this stage.
Seems a bit deja-vous as I have been injecting my Cat night and morning for two years now

Hello young man and welcome to the forum.
Type2's normally start on diet and exercise if numbers are not to high, then moving on to tablets to help your pancreas. Insulin injections are normally a distant treatment. Dogs and cats need insulin right from the word go as they don't have type2 diabetes.

Hello Brian and a warm welcome to our forum - we're a friendly bunch who support each other - any questions? Then ask away....

Brian, feel free to ask questions , we'll do our best to help.

Hello Brian, at least you got to 82 no hassle. 🙂

Welcome to the forum, Brian, from someone who got type 1 diabetes aged 30 years, some 21 years ago, owned by a 16 year old cat, who only goes to vet for immunisations, when she is willing to co-operate. However, she enjoyed watching Leeds triathlon at Roundhay Park last weekend, sitting on my shoulders.
