Relationship to Diabetes

Hello Everyone. Thank you for being here. I am learning so much already. I had pancreatitis 2 years ago and was on insulin until I lost 6 Stone. Now I am off insulin with a prediabetic A1C and no meds..It is a challenge every day, so I am grateful for this forum.

Welcome to the forum @Mare

I've split your intro post into its own thread so that you can get a warm welcome from our friendly forum members.

Good to hear that you’ve found an approach that is working for you.

Hi and welcome.

Wow! What a fantastic achievement! 6st weight loss is absolutely amazing!" Well done you! And coming off insulin in the process. You must be very focused and determined. I am sure there will be people keen to know how you managed to be so successful.... Was there a particular strategy you followed?
Is there anything we can do to help support you with the daily challenge? Or is it just a bit of social interaction with people who understand and face a similar challenge that will help you with the mental drain and responsibility of it. If so, perhaps you would like to join us on the "Group 7-day waking average thread" assuming you test your BG levels? We don't bother with the "7-day average" bit just post our waking reading each morning and share a bit of chat and banter which might be diabetes related or completely off the subject, perhaps our plans for the day or have a moan about how fickle diabetes is.
Anyway, here is a link if you would like to join us....

Maybe see you there tomorrow but no pressure if you don't fancy it.
