Yes the dreaded MetFartin I couldn't tolerate 2 in the morning and two at night so now just take one each time. I was also given Gliclaside which I don't take as it was too effective, it made my sugars drop too much and I was having to eat more to get them up. Just seemed counter-productive.Welcome @Izzy1 🙂 No wonder you were thirsty! Have you been put on any medication for the diabetes?

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.
Hope you can gently bring those high levels down. Don’t panic if this takes a little while to happen, it is easier on the fine blood vessels in the eyes, and on nerve endings to reduce your BG averages over a number of weeks or months.
Does anyone in your close family live with diabetes of any kind?
